Military Installations – Rules & Guidelines

Omni Air International regularly visits military airports, bases, and other institutions during our operations. While working at military installations, following the rules and guidelines of the base is essential and will help us maintain smooth, uninterrupted operations. These regulations are integral to the safety and security of the location, and any breach of these regulations, whether intentional or accidental, could result in fines or other penalties.

You are required to wear your appropriate Omni Crew identification at all times when operating, especially while you are on a military base or installation. This identification must always be clearly visible and you must present it when asked. Quickly producing your crew badge helps us proceed through security checkpoints efficiently.

Military aircraft, runways, airports, and other installations are not to be photographed under any circumstances. This applies to all buildings, equipment, and vehicles on military bases and the Department of Defense enforces this rule very strictly. Even if you believe that the photo does not contain any security information, it could provide details on troop movements, the location of U.S. military aircraft, or other sensitive information.

We urge you to follow these guidelines to ensure that our operations meet the security standards of the locations we operate in. If you notice any unauthorized filming or other failure to follow the rules of the location you are operating in, please make sure to notify us by submitting a Safety and Security report or emailing safety@oai.aero.

“While an occasional delay, annoying seatmate or lost bag can sometimes make us question why we left our homes, we rarely, if ever, question whether or not we’ll get to our destination safely. That feeling of assurance does not come by happenstance—it comes from the hard work of making safety our most important core value.” - Stephen M Dickson, Former FAA Administrator
