Omni Air x Netflix: The Sky Was Our Set!
Back in October 2024, Omni Air International took on an exciting and unique mission—flying the filming crew for an upcoming Netflix production! Under the skilled leadership of Captain Michael McPhail, Captain Michael Mitzel, First Officer Antonio Chebino, and First Officer Michael Malony, our team delivered top-tier service as the film crew made their way to Brazil for on-location shoots.
What made this flight even more memorable? The cockpit featured three pilots named Michael! Every time airport staff called “Michael,” they were met with three smiling faces—a true aviation sitcom moment. Our flight attendants joined in the fun by creating a fake “Netflix show page” for their fictional series, joking that they were the real stars behind the scenes.
Two weeks later, it was time for Season 2—aka the return flight! This time, Captain Zachary Blair, First Officer Kareem Burgees, and First Officer Bernard Goh took the reins, ensuring the filming crew—now joined by the cast—made it back safely to Mexico City. Naturally, our crew continued the tradition, crafting another playful “Netflix page” to celebrate the sequel to their sky-high adventure.
From Brazil to Mexico and all the laughs in between, this was one contract we won’t forget. We can’t wait to see what the real show is all about when it hits Netflix but we’re pretty sure our version deserves an episode or whole season too!
